The Moldovița Monastery (Romanian Mănăstirea Moldovița ) is a Romanian Orthodox women's monastery and is located in Romania in the Suceava district in the territory of the Vatra Moldoviței municipality . The church, which is located within the monastery walls and is dedicated to the Annunciation , was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1993 together with six other Moldavian monasteries .

The Moldovița Monastery was founded in 1532 by Petru Rareș , an illegitimate son of Ștefan cel Mare . The traditional three-corner church with five rooms is surrounded by defensive towers and walls. The interior and exterior walls of the church were painted in 1537. Significant are u. a. The Last Judgment and a depiction of the siege of Constantinople on the south facade.
