The Klusberg in the Weserbergland is 196.1  m above sea level. NN high mountain of the Lipper mountains in Vlotho in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Herford .

Geographical location

The Klusberg is located southwest of the Vlotho core town. At the same time, the trout stream flows eastward and flows into the Weser in the Vlotho district. On its way it runs along the state road  778 ( Herford Street ). North of the Klusberg is the Bonneberg ( 180.2  m ), to the west the Steinegge ( 255.5  m ) and southeast the Eiberg ( 230  m ).

Protected areas

The landscape protection areas Lipper Bergland (3,828  ha ; LSG no. 345068) and grassland areas on Klusberg (4 ha; LSG no. 344985), both of which were founded in 1972, are located on and on the Klusberg .

history

The name Klusberg is said to go back to the existence of a Mönchsklause , a Klus ; no conclusive evidence has yet been found.
