Kodjovi Dodji Obilalé (born October 8, 1984 ) is a former Togolese football player . He was most recently under contract with the French fourth division club GSI Pontivy and was a national player for Togo , he was part of the Togo squad at the 2006 and 2010 African Championships and the 2006 World Cup .

As a youth, Obilalé played in France for Chamois Niort and FC Lorient , but did not make the leap into the men's team, and a trial training session at OC Vannes was unsuccessful. Instead, he played in the Togolese league for Étoile Filante de Lomé . In 2006 he was again without a club and, in order not to get out of shape, played for the French sixth division club CS Quéven , although at that time he had already been a substitute goalkeeper for the national team at the Africa Cup 2006 and the World Cup in the same year. In mid-2008 he was signed to the semi-professional GSI Pontivy .

After Obilalé had already participated in the 2006 African and World Cup as the third goalkeeper without a job, he was appointed to the squad of the Togolese team for the 2010 African Cup in Angola . During the journey on January 8, 2010, the team bus was shot at by supporters of the FLEC about ten kilometers beyond the Congo / Angola border in the Cabinda exclave east of Lagoa Massabi . Two delegation members were killed and numerous other people were injured, including two players: Obilalé and Serge Akakpo . After two months of treatment in South Africa, he returned to Lorient for further rehabilitation. In June 2010, Obilalé's contract with Pontivy ended, who at that time was still dependent on crutches to run. Obilalé, who ran into financial difficulties due to the loss of his football club income, is considering suing the Togolese Football Association for damages.
