Coach Otto Pfister surprisingly resigned with immediate effect on June 9, 2006 after the players had repeatedly struck training because an agreement with the association on the bonuses had still not been reached. On June 12th, Pfister returned to the Togolese training camp.
* Franck Atsou was nominated for the injured Karim Guédé on June 13th .
