Daré Nibombé (born June 16, 1980 in Lomé ) is a former Togolese football player . He played a total of 186 games in the Ghanaian Premier League , the Togolese Championnat National , the Belgian Pro League , the Romanian League 1 , the Azerbaijani Premyer Liqası and the Saudi Arabian Professional League . In 2002 he won the Togolese championship with AS Douanes de Lomé .
Career
Nibombé started his career in his home country of Togo. In 1999 he went to the Togolese first division club and multiple national champion ASKO Kara . After two years, the trained defender moved to Liberty Professionals in Ghana . However, he stayed there for only one year to return to his home country and play for the champions AS Douanes .
In 2003 Nibombé ventured to Europe and signed with the Belgian first division club RAEC Mons . With the club he was relegated in 2005, but they managed to get back up straight away. In September 2008 he was signed as a central defender by the Romanian first division club CS Otopeni . Already in the winter break of 2008/09 he moved to league rivals FC Timișoara , where he was able to win the runner-up.
From summer 2010 to January 2011 Nibombé played for FK Baku in Azerbaijan. On February 1, 2011, he moved to the German second division soccer team Arminia Bielefeld, which he left after six months. In winter 2012 he moved to Royal Boussu Dour Borinage in Belgium . He ended his career there in 2015.
National team
Nibombé represents his home country at international matches. He was also part of the Togolese national team at the 2006 World Cup and played three games during the tournament. He later took on the role of captain of the Togolese national team.
