Previous model Koenigsegg Agera

The Koenigsegg Jesko is a super sports car from the Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg , named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, Christian von Koenigsegg's father . 125 copies are to be built.

history

Production of the Koenigsegg Jesko is expected to begin in 2020. The Jesko will be the successor to the Agera . The Koenigsegg Jesko was presented for the first time in March 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show . In contrast to its predecessor models, the Jesko is to be offered worldwide.

drive

The drive train of the Jesko

The engine of the Koenigsegg Jesko is a further development of the 5.0-liter V8 engine used in the Agera. The four-valve engine has a stroke of 92 mm, a bore of 95.95 mm and a compression ratio of 8.6: 1. The output is 941 kW (1,279 hp) with regular gasoline and 1,176 kW (1,599 hp) with E85 biofuel. Modifications to the Agera engine include the use of a new, flat 180-degree crankshaft, which saves 5 kg and enables a maximum engine speed of between 8250 rpm and 8500 rpm. The active rubber mount of the Regera reduces engine vibrations in the interior.

Performance

The car reportedly reaches speeds in excess of 480 km / h (300 mph). The aim is to set a new speed record and replace the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport as the fastest production car in the world. A high aerodynamic downforce should guarantee precise handling. The purchase price will be 2.8 million euros. Shortly before the end of the Geneva Auto Show 2019, it was reported that all 125 copies of the Jesko have already been sold.

Jesko Absolutely

In March 2020, Koenigsegg presented the Jesko Absolut in Geneva , which is expected to reach a top speed of over 500 km / h, which should exceed the speed record for series vehicles . The model has been aerodynamically optimized with regard to the top speed, for example a rear wing, which would increase the contact pressure , is dispensed with. Koenigsegg gives the drag coefficient as 0.278. The manufacturer no longer wants to build a faster car than the Jesko Absolut .
