The Koenigsegg One: 1 is a super sports car from the Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg Automotive . It is the sister model to the Koenigsegg Agera .
Introduction, name and plans
The One: 1 developed on the basis of the Agera R was presented to the public in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. Its engine has an output of 1000 kW (1360 hp) and the vehicle weighs 1360 kg. This results in a power-to-weight ratio of 1.0 kg / PS, which the manufacturer took as the reason for the name of the vehicle (1: 1). Following the prototype in 2014 and 2015, Koenigsegg built six more copies.
technology
The car has a V8 engine with 5065 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 92 mm × 95.25 mm), the housing of which is cast from aluminum. The engine has four valves per cylinder and two turbochargers that can generate a pre-pressure of 1.8 bar. They are equipped with adjustable turbine guide vanes. The engine output is 1000 kW (1360 hp), which is delivered at 7500 rpm. The highest torque is 1371 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is installed as a mid-engine behind the seats and delivers its power to the rear wheels via a 7-stage sequential gearbox with paddle shift and an electronically controlled differential gear . 44% of the weight is on the front wheels and 56% of the weight is on the rear wheels.
According to the manufacturer, the 72 kg chassis is a sandwich construction with outer layers made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (KfK) and a core with a honeycomb structure. The two petrol tanks with a total capacity of 74 liters are integrated into it. The wheels are individually suspended on double wishbones . The wheel carriers are made of an aluminum alloy. The front track is 1700 mm, the rear 1650 mm. The tires measuring 265/35 × 19 ″ at the front and 345/30 × 20 ″ at the rear are mounted on KfK wheels. The car has disc brakes with internally ventilated ceramic discs, the diameter of which is 397 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear.
The coupé body is also made of KfK. It has two scissor doors . Their drag coefficient (c w ) is 0.45.
Performance
The One: 1 is said to have a top speed of 440 km / h, which was never measured. Its maximum acceleration is 21.5 seconds for 0–400 km / h, from 0 to 100 km / h it takes 2.8 seconds. The braking distance from 100 km / h to a standstill is 28 meters on a dry road. The turning circle diameter is 11 meters.
Furnishing
The low bucket seats are covered with suede. Although Koenigsegg itself from a fixed roof , so writes a fixed roof, it can be removed. However, the One: 1 is the only Koenigsegg on which the removable Targa roof cannot be stowed under the front hood. This is due both to the air scoop on the roof element and a tribute to the air ducts under the front hood.
The seats are equipped with 6-point belts. Anti-lock braking system (ABS), vehicle dynamics control (ESC), level control , automatic climate control , reversing camera and tire pressure monitoring are part of the basic equipment.

Record attempts
On July 18, 2016 Koenigsegg tried to set a new record with the One: 1 on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring. During this attempt, however, the car came off the track at the entrance to the Adenauer Forest and was damaged. According to Koenigsegg, the cause was a fault in a sensor in the anti-lock braking system. A record was not reached.
At the second attempt on the same day, the dB regulations were changed, whereby an attempt was not possible.
Trivia
Since the field for the performance specification only has three digits in the German registration certificate, the performance specification for the models registered in Germany is not in field P.2 as usual, but with a note in field 22.
