The Kohlberg is a mountain in the north-western Odenwald, east of Darmstadt .
description
The 208.1 m high mountain in the Darmstadt forest area is heavily forested. The Oberfeld is located north of the Kohlberg . To the west of the Kohlberg is the Glasberg . Aschaffenburger Strasse and B 26 (Hanauer Strasse) as well as the museum railway line are located south of the Kohlberg .

The evidence for the name component Kohl - belongs to Old High German kolo , Middle High German kol with the meaning " coal " or " charcoal ." The name Kohlberg refers to old coal piles ; so-called "cabbage plates".
