Murase won the Slopestyle World Rookie Finals in Ischgl in 2016 and 2017 . In the 2017/18 season she became Japanese champion in slopestyle and took fourth place in slopestyle at the Burton US Open in Vail . In May 2018, she won the gold medal in Big Air at the X-Games Norway in Fornebu , making her the youngest winner of the winter X-Games competitions. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2018 in Cardrona , she won gold medals in slopestyle and big air. At the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she won the silver medal in Big Air at the X-Games Norway 2019. She made her debut in the World Cup in Beijing in December 2019 , which she finished in fifth place in Big Air. At the following World Cup in Atlanta , she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in Big Air. At the Winter X Games 2020 in Aspen she won the bronze medal in slopestyle and the silver medal in Big Air and at the X Games Norway 2020 in Hafjell the silver medal in slopestyle.
