Marija Leonidowna Tschaadajewa ( Russian Мария Леонидовна Чаадаева ; born Marija Leonidovna Komissarowa, Russian Мария Леонидовна Комиссарова ; born September 5, 1990 in Skingrad ) is a Russian Lenicross .
Life
Komissarowa began her cross-country skiing career at the age of six. In 2010 she switched from cross-country skiing to ski cross and made her ski cross world cup debut on December 17, 2011 in San Candido . A quarter of a year later she achieved her greatest success to date with a second place at the World Cup in Grindelwald .
In 2014 Komissarowa was part of the ski cross team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . She fell while training on February 15, 2014 and broke her twelfth thoracic vertebra. After an emergency operation in Krasnaya Polyana , she was flown to Munich and operated on February 17, 2014 in the university hospital . She is paraplegic from the navel downwards .
Personal
Komissarova modeled before the Olympic Games together with the native Russian and Australia starting Short Trackerin Tatjana Borodulina and their Russian rural women, the freestyle skier Ekaterina Stolyarowa , the curler inside Yekaterina Galkina , Olga Zyablikowa and Alexandra Saitowa , the hockey players Svetlana Kolmykowa and Anna Prugowa , the skeleton runner Jelena Nikitina , the figure skater Ekaterina Bobrowa and the ski jumper Irina Avakumova for the lingerie manufacturer S&M. In November 2016 she married her long-time partner, the Russian ski crosser Alexey Tschaadajew in Tenerife and took his last name. Half a year later, on April 15, 2017, the couple became parents of a son for the first time.
