A female colleague who is also part of her team changes over the course of the cases. In the first case, the forensic scientist Kerstin Henschel ( Bernadette Heerwagen ) determined. In the next three episodes, she was replaced by Kirsten Höpfner ( Julia Jentsch ), who was very competent in criminal matters , and followed Sarah Jonas ( Alice Dwyer ). Superordinate to the team is Chief Police Officer Hans Herrmann ( Peter Lerchbaumer ), to whom Marthaler has to prove an irregularity in the course of a case that drives the police chief to a murder. Given the hopelessness of his situation, he provokes a suicide by cop , so that his post is filled with Chief Police Officer Charlotte von Wangenheim ( Liane Forestieri ).

Marthaler's private life suffers from his job and when he forgets to pick up his girlfriend Tereza ( Ellenie Salvo González ) from the airport, this does not particularly promote his relationship with her. Nevertheless, she stands by him and after some up and down the two want to get married. In a robbery, Tereza, who is now pregnant, is seriously injured and miscarried . In order to deal with this and not have to endure Robert's unreliability any longer, she leaves him and goes back to Prague .

background

The film adaptations of the crime novels by Jan Seghers did not initially take place in the order in which they were written by the author. The film Kommissar Marthaler - An all too beautiful girl , which is based on Segher's first novel, was only produced as the third film. In order to adapt to the chronological order, some actions have been changed.
