Lancelot von Naso (born March 12, 1976 in Heidelberg ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

biography

Lancelot von Naso studied political science , Romance studies (French) and law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and played chess in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga for SV Tübingen. During his studies he discovered his interest in cinema and film, completed several internships at various film production companies and worked, among other things, as a location manager for the German medical thriller Anatomie .

In 1999 he started studying in the feature film department of the University of Television and Film in Munich (HFF) . Since 2001 he has been teaching editing and directing at the Medienforum Heidelberg and at the Hochschule für Mediadesign Munich and Berlin .

After several award-winning short films, u. a. He devoted himself to the realization of his first feature film, Armistice, The Surprise , Lintel and The Tourist as well as a few commercials . First screened in 2009 at the 33rd Festival des Films du Monde in Montréal, the film received several awards, including the Prix ​​Europa 2010 for best television film.

In 2016 he filmed a new version of the novel Das doppelte Lottchen by Erich Kästner for SWR at Lake Wolfgangsee , in Salzburg , Frankfurt am Main and in Dahner Felsenland . The film was broadcast on Easter 2017 and was released in 2018.
