The Mediadesign University of Design and Computer Science (also: MD.H) is a private , state-recognized university founded in 2004 and based in Berlin with study locations in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Munich . It is privately owned. Felix Ising is the managing director of the university. Since 2010, the Mediadesign Hochschule has been institutionally accredited by the Science Council subject to certain conditions .

The courses conclude with the degree of Bachelor of Arts , Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts . Depending on the course and degree, the course lasts three to seven semesters and is divided into various modules. The size of the seminar groups is on average 20 people. Studying at the Mediadesign Hochschule is only possible after a successfully completed admission procedure.

The university charges all students monthly tuition fees, which are based on the chosen course.

education

The school education at the Mediadesign Hochschule prepares you for a state-recognized final exam. It comprises 18 months of full-time tuition and 18 months of internship. The training prepares you for a state examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). The size of the training classes is on average 24 people

In addition to the study and training opportunities, evening courses are offered in which knowledge in the field of new media is imparted alongside work. This includes the graphic design, media design, online marketing and web design courses. Furthermore, the Mediadesign University of Design and Computer Science offers media camps every year in the summer months. The media camps serve as an orientation aid for those interested and to test individual talent. These include the Mediacamp Design, the Mediacamp Games, the Mediacamp Mode, the Mediacamp Movie and the Advertising Camp.

Career service

At the MD.H there is a special service offer for students and graduates: The university's own career service serves as an interface between the university and the job market and aims to facilitate the transfer to the economy for students and graduates as early as possible.

In addition to individual coaching and consulting interviews, the career service also includes job talks, excursions and lectures that take place regularly at all locations. Factory shows are also organized here. Since the career service was founded, over 80% of the graduates have found themselves in a subject-related job just six months after graduation.

Memberships and partnerships

The university is a member of the Association of Private Universities. It is also a member of the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft and MedienCampus Bayern, the umbrella organization for media education and training in Bavaria. The university is also a member of media.net berlinbrandenburg and the corporate alliance of the media industry. In addition, the Mediadesign Hochschule is a partner of FMX, the international specialist conference in the field of animation and visual effects. The university is also a partner of the digital city of Düsseldorf. The Mediadesign Hochschule is also a partner in the “Apple at Private Universities” project.
