Location of the municipality

The Comunanza Capriasca / Lugano is a community area ( Kommunanz ) in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland .

Political Affiliation

The territory, which is only a few hectares in size, is jointly owned by two communities: Capriasca and Lugano . The municipality of Capriasca / Lugano is managed by the Federal Statistical Office under the municipality number 5394 (until December 31, 2003: 5238).

Naming

Until the merger of the municipality of Corticiasca with Capriasca on April 20, 2008, the municipality was in the common ownership of Corticiasca and Valcolla and was therefore called Kommunanz Corticiasca / Valcolla . Between April 20, 2008 and April 14, 2013 (the merger of the municipality of Valcolla with the city of Lugano) it was called the Municipality of Capriasca / Valcolla .

geography

The uninhabited montane area consists of a narrow, approximately 150 m wide strip of terrain, which extends to around 1280  m above sea level. M. extends along the eastern slope of the Valle di Scareglia.
