Konieczki is a subdistrict in the city of Ełk ( German Lyck ) in the southeast of the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
Osiedle Konieczki is located in the northeast of the city between Osiedle Pólnoc II in the west and Osiedle Zatorze in the south. The district is bordered by ul. Karola Augusta Bahrkego and ul. Kolonia in the north and ul. Wincentego Witosa (here running parallel to the Ełk – Chernyakhovsk railway line ). In the east, the border runs parallel to the Ełk River .
Three kilometers north of the city is a village of the same name: Konieczki ( German: Elisenthal ). There is no evidence of a historical connection with the Konieczki district. Konieczki in Ełk could not have been formed until after 1945.
A total of 5076 inhabitants live in Konieczki on an area of just over nine km².
Konieczki can be reached via the Kolonia junction of the Ełk bypass from the national roads 16 and 65, which are on the same route . The nearest train station is the Ełk City Railway Station .
The Roman Catholic Church Chrystusa Sługi is a striking building in Konieczki . The parish belongs to the Deanery Miłosierdza Bożego in the Diocese of Ełk . A Protestant parish exists in the Osiedle Centrum , a branch parish of the parish of Pisz ( German Johannisburg ) in the diocese of Masuria .
