Konrad Häfner

Konrad Häfner (born October 5, 1885 in Allertshausen , Lower Franconia ; † unknown) was a German officer and administrative officer . He was, among others 1939-1943 District Administrator of the district Erding and 1943-1945 District Administrator of the district Deggendorf .

Until the end of the First World War , Häfner was a professional officer in the Bavarian Army , and since 1914, after being wounded at the beginning of the war, he served in the air force . In 1920 he retired with the rank of characterized majors from the Reichswehr from.

In 1939, Häfner was appointed District Administrator of Erding. He held this post until 1943, although he was on leave from late 1939 to July 1942 due to his participation in the war. In September 1943, Häfner was transferred to Deggendorf, while the local district administrator Franz Sefferth came from Deggendorf to Erding.

In addition to his civil service career, Häfner was also a leader in the combat units of the NSDAP ( membership number 89.073): around 1930 he founded his own SS motor tower in Munich , consisting of 25 men, three cars and ten motorcycles. In the SS he achieved the rank of SS Oberführer (SS No. 1,896). Around 1932 he switched to the SA, in which he achieved the rank of SA brigade leader from October 1, 1933 .
