Konrad Tack (* 1942 in Göttingen ) is a German lawyer and retired civil servant .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1962, Tack studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen until 1969 . After working at the Languth Erben winery , he switched to the Federal Employment Agency in 1974 . His entry as an employment agency in Frankfurt am Main and the subsequent management of the ZAV were followed by activities in Berlin , Frankfurt / Oder and Cottbus as well as again in Berlin, where he retired in 2007 as head of the Berlin Süd employment agency .

Tack was a sought-after interview partner on the introduction of Hartz IV , whose press conferences on this and the status of the implementation of SGB II at Phoenix were broadcast. He also repeatedly made clear the challenges for the employees of the employment agencies.

A declared goal of Tack in the context of the introduction of Hartz IV and the subsequent reforms was to bring people “closer to the labor market”. Whether with classic social work, youth theater, the introduction of "district mothers" for integration up to day wage placement and "citizen work", he shaped the image of job seekers as customers.

In autumn 2008, Neukölln's district mayor Heinz Buschkowsky brought him back from his first retirement as the new managing director for the Neukölln job center , which he managed until mid-2011. Under his leadership, the Neukölln job center, the largest of the 408 job centers in Germany, was established.

voluntary work

In 2008, Tack was one of the fourteen founding members of the Association for the Promotion of Annedore-Leber Vocational Training Center Berlin eV He has been chairman of the board there ever since.

In 2008 and again since 2011 he was a member of the state board of trustees of the IB Berlin-Brandenburg.

In 2010 and 2011 Tack was a member of the jury for the "Diversity of Work" competition organized by the TUH eV

Since 2011 he has been the honorary managing director of the Work for Disability Foundation .

Even after his retirement, Tack continued to be active in labor market policy, both as a volunteer expert for the OECD on youth unemployment and in Think Thanks on labor market innovations.

He has been a member of the board of trustees at IB Hochschule , Berlin, since 2012.

Tack has been a member of the board of trustees of the Kaspar Hauser Foundation since 2013 . He played a key role in the transfer of "Geist & Natur eV" and the Kaspar Hauser Therapeutikum Berlin gGmbH to the Kaspar Hauser Foundation.

He has been a member of the Presidium of the International Federation (IB) since 2015 .
