Konrad Zindler

Konrad Zindler (born November 26, 1866 in Laibach , † June 18, 1934 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian mathematician.

Life

Konrad Zindler received his doctorate from Johannes Frischauf in Graz in 1890 ( on the theory of networks and configurations ) and was a private lecturer in synthetic geometry at the philosophical faculty of the University of Graz . He qualified as a professor for synthetic geometry in Graz in 1893, acquired the Venia legendi for the entire field of mathematics at the University of Vienna in 1894 and was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Innsbruck after 1900 .

In 1902 he published the first volume of line geometry with applications at Göschen in Leipzig . He also wrote an article on the subject in the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Sciences . The Zindler curve is named after him.
