The Korsun Park ( Ukrainian Корсунь-Шевченківський парк ) is a monument of garden art of national importance with an area of 97 hectares in the Ukrainian city of Korsun-Shevchenkovskyi .
history
The establishment under the owner Stanislaus II August Poniatowski took place in 1782 and was designed by Johann Heinrich Müntz in the style of English landscape parks. In 1783 the greenhouse and vineyard were added. The castle was built from 1785 to 1789. In 1799, Tsar Paul I bought it and gave it to Prince Lopukhin. The park got some rare trees as well as marble statues and bridges. It was not structured in clear axes according to the Russian school, but adapted to the original landscape so that there are calm and moving water as well as granite rocks and shallows. It was later supplemented and redesigned.

The park is located on three islands and the right bank of the Ros . Connecting bridges and numerous paths and paths run through the park. The plant stocks include common oak , winter linden and norwegian maple as native species, as well as ginkgo , common horse chestnut , common spruce , silver spruce , Weymouth pine , fir , Amur cork tree and Japanese pagoda tree as exotic species.
