The Kosovar cuisine is the national cuisine of Kosovo . It is influenced by the ethnic groups in the country ( Albanians , Serbs , Turks , Roma , Bosnians , Gorans ). Kosovar cuisine relies on three main ingredients: red meat, poultry, and spices. Among the Kosovar specialties include Gjyveç , Burek , Flia and kebab .

Dairy products play a huge role in the Kosovar diet: Sharr cheese, cottage cheese , cow's milk , goat's milk, and goat's cheese are widely used dairy products . In addition, grain bread is very well known, it is called Leqenik and is usually filled with spinach or cheese.

The long tradition of viticulture was interrupted by the chaos of war . The Amselfelder used to be particularly popular in Germany.
