The Kossa ( Russian Коса́ , Komi Кӧсва ) is a 267 km long right tributary of the Kama in the Russian region of Perm .
The Kossa rises in the Kama Heights . In the upper reaches it flows mainly in an easterly direction, but then turns to the north-northeast before it flows into the Kama at Ust-Kossa . It has numerous meanders . The river is ice-covered between late October and early May. 43 km above the mouth, the mean discharge of the Kossa is 40 m³ / s. It drains an area of 10,300 km².
The river name is derived from the Komi-Permjak terms kös ("dry") and va ("water").
