The Kotuikan ( Russian Котуйкан ) is a right tributary of the Kotui in northern central Siberia , in the former Taimyr Autonomous Okrug and in today's Russian Krasnoyarsk region .
The 447 km long river has its source on the Anabar plateau on the border with the Sakha Republic . From there it first flows north, but soon turns west. It takes its largest tributaries, Ilya and Dschogdscho , from the left. Finally he reaches the right source river of the Chatanga , the Kotui. The catchment area of the Kotuikan covers 24,300 km².
