The Kotzen is 1766 m above sea level. NN high foothills of the Stierjoch in the Vorkarwendel in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district , Bavaria ( Germany ).
Geographical location
The Kotzen is located about 2 km north of the Stierjoch ( 1908.4 m above sea level ) in the triangle between Sylvensteinsee , Schafreuter and Lerchkogel , about 4.5 km south of the aforementioned reservoir.
Throw up round
The Kotzen-Runde is a circular hiking trail that leads over the Kotzen. The path runs on a bridge over the Dürrachklamm. For security reasons it was closed in spring 2006 and dismantled in summer 2006. The bridge was rebuilt in autumn 2006.
This bridge was (re) built in the 1970s for the film Der Jäger von Fall (adaptation of a novel by Ludwig Ganghofer ).
Summit cross
The summit cross of the Kotzen was found sawed off on November 5, 2017. Similar actions have taken place in recent years by one or more strangers at other peaks in the area, such as B. the Schafreuter .
