description
Vegetative characteristics
The Krainer Wolfsmilch is a milky sap leading, more stalky , perennial herbaceous plant with a woody, creeping "rhizome" that reaches heights of 20 to 40 cm. The alternately arranged, light green leaves are up to 7 centimeters in length, pointed elliptical to lanceolate and the underside is hairy.
Generative characteristics
The flowering period extends from April to June. The top two leaves under the inflorescences are opposite and conspicuously greenish to golden yellow. The entire inflorescence is three to five-rayed. There are apparent flowers with four wide-elliptical, brown yellow glands and loose long-haired mug present, inside which numerous stamens and an outstanding, dreigriffeliger ovary sit. The capsule fruit is warty on the outside.
