Lists on the subject |
The Krasnopol is a cannon-fired precision-guided artillery shell made in Russia. The GRAU index for the entire system is 2K25 Krasnopol and the bullet is designated 3OF39 .
development
The system development at the manufacturers Konstruktionsbüro für Gerätebau (KBP) and Ischmasch NPO began in 1987. The first copies were delivered to the armed forces of Russia in 1995 .
technology
The Krasnopol is fired from conventional 152/155 mm cannons and howitzers . The 54-ZhN-546 propellant shoots the projectile out of the gun barrel . Immediately after leaving the tube, the stabilizing and steering wings unfold. The projectile now follows a ballistic trajectory. When approaching a target, it automatically steers to the target point marked by a laser . The Russian laser target markers of the type 1D15 , 1D20 , 1D22 or 1D26 can be used for target illumination . Laser target markers from France and other countries are also available. The target must be by an advanced artillery observer for 5 to 15 seconds continuously with a laser marks are. Since different laser frequencies can be used, several Krasnopol can fight different targets at the same time. Several Krasnopol can also be fired at the same time on a single target. Krasnopol can fight vehicles moving at up to 36 km / h. Krasnopol detonates on impact in the target. The fragmentation warhead weighs 20.5 kg with an explosives content of 6.4 kg.
