War of the Tones is a German comedy and musical, also an experimental film by Michael Meert from 1987. Special attention was paid to the sound during production, for which the musician Holger Czukay (former member of the band Can ) is responsible, who is also the male Plays leading role in the film.

The little girl Ina ( Angela Smecca ) is sent to piano lessons by her mother against her will. The piano teacher Holger Czukay produces experimental music from sound collages in his spare time, but his works do not establish themselves in the professional music business.   • The actress Angela Smecca sang the hit “Feuerwerk” four years earlier together with Stephan Remmler as “Stephan & Nina”. Remmler himself plays a supporting role in the film.
