Kristel Neidhart

Kristel Neidhart (born March 12, 1933 in Tilsit as Kristel Konrad ; † May 3, 2013 in Konstanz ) was a German writer and artist .

Life

Neidhart was born as the daughter of a master tailor in Tilsit, where she also spent her childhood. In 1944 she had to leave her hometown in the course of the turmoil of the war and came to Schleswig-Holstein via Rügen . There she learned to draw with Erich Behrendt and began to design material pictures. While at first she also used screws and cogs as pictorial elements, she later worked more with plaster of paris and clay. Shards formed an important element of their works . Neidhart worked temporarily in the studio house in Worpswede .

She lived in Constance since the 1950s . In addition to literary works, she also wrote articles for the Frankfurter Rundschau , the Basler Zeitung and other press organs. She has received various awards and prizes for her work, e. B. 1983 the Wilhelmine Lübke Prize .
