Kristian Ipša [ ˈkristian ˈipʃa ] (born April 4, 1986 in Pula ) is a Croatian football player with an Italian grandfather.

The center- back started playing football at NK Funtana in 1992 before moving to NK Jadran Poreč in 1997 . From July 1999 Ipša played in the youth of the Croatian top club NK Varteks Varaždin , where he moved up over time in the first team and became a regular.

For the 2007/08 season, the defensive player changes to Energie Cottbus . With the Lausitzers he signed a contract that runs until 2010, which includes an option for the club to extend the contract. On November 2, 2007, he played the first Bundesliga game for Cottbus when he was substituted on in the 90th minute in the game against FC Schalke 04 . Overall, he was used in the season four times in the professional team, including two games over 90 minutes. In addition, he came to two missions in the second team.

In summer 2008 Ipša moved to Denmark for FC Midtjylland . There he played for five years and reached the Danish Danish Cup final twice with the club and qualified for the Europa League . In the summer of 2013 he left the club for the Italian second division club Reggina Calcio . There he had to relegate at the end of the season and joined the Romanian first division club Petrolul Ploieşti in the summer of 2014 .

Kristian Ipša was the captain of the U-21 national team of Croatia and replaced Luka Modrić in this role .
