Career

societies

The 172 cm tall goalkeeper initially played for KIF Örebro from 2007 to 2010 , with whom she - together with her twin sister - won the Swedish Women's Football Cup in 2010 . She then moved to Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC , while her sister stayed with KIF Örebro. She played for Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC until the end of her career. She took part twice in the UEFA Women's Champions League in 2011/12 , they reached the quarter-finals, where after a 3-1 away defeat against the women of Arsenal, the 1-0 home win was not enough to advance. In the 2012/13 UEFA Women's Champions League , they then lost both games in the quarter-finals to French runners-up Juvisy FCF .

After a baby break, she made two appearances in Damallsvenskan and one in the cup in 2015 and 2016 .

National team

Kristin was part of the 2007 World Cup squad even though she had not yet played an international match . She made her national team debut on February 16, 2008 in a 2-0 win against Norway after she was not used as a substitute goalkeeper at the 2007 World Cup . As a substitute goalkeeper without commitment, she was also part of the squad for the 2009 European Championship finals . On October 26, 2010, her sister played for the first time for the senior national team, with Kristin in goal. The sisters played together in three international matches before the World Cup. From June 26th to July 17th both were part of the squad for the 2011 World Cup . While Marie made a short appearance in the last group game against the USA , in which the 1: 3 semi-final defeat against Japan was in the starting eleven and in the game for third place even scored the winning goal to 2-1 over France , Kristin remained without a tournament appearance. Marie was also nominated for the Swedish squad for the 2012 Olympic Games , but Kristin was not, probably because only two goalkeepers were allowed.

At the European Women's Football Championship in 2013 , she was the first goalkeeper at a major tournament and reached the semi-finals with her team against defending champions Germany in which she lost 1-0. She was used in all games together with her twin sister. In qualifying for the 2015 Women's World Cup, which began after the European Championships , it was used in two of the first three games that were won without conceding a goal. A few days later, she and her sister announced their resignation.
