Kristina Šundov (born September 17, 1986 in Split , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian soccer player .
Career
society
Kristina Šundov started playing football at NK Stobreč and in the following years went through various Croatian clubs with NK Split , NK Dinara - Knin, ŽNK Dalmacija, ŽNK Marjan Split and NK Kaštela. With ŽNK Dalmacija she was promoted to the 1st HNLŽ , the first Croatian league.
After moving to FFC Zuchwil 05 in summer 2005, Šundov was active in the Swiss National League A for seven years . With Zuchwil she became Swiss runner-up in 2006 and won the championship in 2007, in which she played a major role as the top scorer. In 2006 and 2007 she also played a total of six games in the UEFA Women's Cup , with just as many goals. In early 2009, she decided to move to FC Rot-Schwarz Thun , with whom she won the Swiss Cup in May 2009, before the team moved to FC Thun in the 2009/10 season . For the 2010/11 season, Šundov signed with FC Basel before she left Switzerland in the summer of 2012 and moved to SC Telstar VVNH in the newly founded BeNe League . With the club from Velsen , she won the BeNe League B in 2012/13 and was used in 31 league games by the end of 2013, where she scored seven goals.
For the second half of the 2013/14 season , Šundov signed a contract with the German Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg , which was valid until 2015 and had recently taken over the teams from the insolvent FCR 2001 Duisburg . She made her debut for Duisburg on February 16, 2014 in a 2-1 home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and scored her first goal in this game with a goal that made it 1-0. In the following year and a half she played a total of 27 league games for MSV, but after the winter break of 2014/15 she mainly played as a substitute. After the relegation of Duisburg, Šundov moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen for the 2015/16 season . She left Germany in the summer of 2016 and has been under contract with FC Basel in National League A since then .
National team
Šundov made his debut on May 14, 2003 for the Croatian national team . In the 5-0 win against the Slovenian team, she scored her first goal in the national shirt two minutes after being substituted on in the 51st minute. Nine days later, in a 0-0 win against Ireland in qualifying for the 2005 European Championship, they played their first competitive game. From 2004 to 2005 she also played ten games for the U-19 national team, six of them as part of qualifying for the 2005 European Championship .
