Kristina Shannon (born October 2, 1989 in Ann Arbor , Michigan , USA , together with her twin sister Karissa Shannon often referred to as the Shannon Twins or Shannon Twins ) is an American model , actress , playmate and porn actress .

Career

Kristina Shannon became known in 2007/08 as one of three new partners of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner . After he ended the relationship with his then three friends Holly Madison , Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson , Hefner introduced his future wife Crystal Hefner as well as Kristina Shannon and her twin sister Karissa Shannon as his three new steadfast friends. Connected to the love affair with Hefner was a permanent cast of Shannon in the sixth season of the series The Girls of the Playboy Mansion , which showed Hefner's life with his friends and partners in the Playboy Mansion . It also made a guest appearance on Kendra Wilkinson's television series Kendra . The relationship between the 19-year-old Shannon twins and Hefner, who was 82 years old at the time, attracted particular media attention to the age difference of 63 years, which was often questioned mockingly and critically.

Kristina Shannon was the US playboy's playmate of the month in August 2009 . Together with her sister Karissa Shannon - who was Playmate of the Month for July - she was featured in the so-called summer 2009 edition of the American Playboy, which combined the July and August issues into one issue.

In early 2010, Hefner announced the separation from the Shannon twins. The official reason given was that Hefner wanted to support them by separating them from completing an alleged degree. In some cases, however, it was reported that Hefner had ended the relationship because of the behavior of Kristina and Karrissa Shannon, which did not agree with his ideas. In particular, they are said to have cultivated sexual relations with other men.

In 2010 Kristina Shannon received a guest role in Sofia Coppola's film Somewhere , in 2012 she was a guest on Celebrity Big Brother , the American version of Celebrity Big Brother . Appearances in the US reality series Rob & Chyna by Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna as well as in the series Botched and the television film Cocked followed in 2015 and 2016 respectively .

In the following years, Shannon's media presence diminished and she made headlines, especially because of her rapid physical change: Shannon gained several kilos and underwent cosmetic surgery, which was repeatedly mocked by critics. Professionally, she turned to running a beauty salon in Beverly Hills .

In December 2018, the news that Kristina Shannon, together with her sister Karissa Shannon, had signed a contract with the American porn production company Brazzers to work in pornographic productions as actresses for a fee in the millions was again followed with high media attention . Shannon confirmed this on her official Instagram account. Even before this announcement, Kristina and Karissa Shannon repeatedly distributed privately created videos of them with pornographic content on social media platforms. On February 17, 2019, Brazzers released the first professionally produced pornographic video starring the Shannon twins and American porn actor Scott Nails .

In 2007, Kristina Shannon and her sister were fined for a physical injury offense after a physical altercation between the Shannon twins and other partygoers at a house party.

Kristina Shannon attracted particular attention in 2012 with the announcement that she was having a lesbian love affair with the American model and playmate of the year 2009 Ida Ljungqvist . While the alleged relationship was generally viewed as public relations , Shannon and Ljungqvist sometimes presented it as real, which was to be underpinned by public kisses, among other things. Further reports about the progress of the relationship or a separation did not follow.
