from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kristina Tschulik (* 1984 in Cottbus ) is a German chemist and since 2018 Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Ruhr University Bochum .

Scientific career

Kristina Tschulik began her chemistry studies in 2003 at the Technical University of Dresden and graduated in 2008 with a diploma thesis in Michael Ruck's group . After completing her PhD in the group of Ludwig Schultz at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research in Dresden in 2012, they initially stayed for a postdoctoral in the group of Jürgen Eckert there, but closed in the same year a postdoctoral at Richard Compton at the University of Oxford on .

After returning to Germany in 2015, she first became a junior professor for micro- and nanotechnology at the Ruhr University in Bochum, where she has held the chair for Analytical Chemistry II - Electrochemistry & Nanoscale Materials since 2018 .

In 2017 she was also a visiting professor at the Université Paris Diderot for a few months .

Research areas

One focus of Kristina Tschulik's research is nano-electrocatalysis, in particular the investigation of the electrochemistry of individual nanoparticles . Other fields of research are magneto- electrochemistry and corrosion research . The working group works in the RESOLV Cluster of Excellence .
