Krzysztof Jan Cyboni

Krzysztof Jan Cyboni (Latin Christophorus Joannes Cyboni ; † 1698 ) was an Italian-born physician, professor and mayor in Poland .

Life

He came from an Italian family who lived in Poland. Jerzy Cyboni was the first mayor of Lublin in 1680 , Jakub Ignacy Cyboni (1660–1728) was a religious priest and head of seminaries since 1695.

Krzysztof Cyboni studied at the Academy in Cracow , where he obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy. From 1678 to 1680 he was professor of rhetoric , poetics and grammar at the Lubrański Academy in Poznań . Around 1684 he was in Zamość , possibly at the local academy, and doctor of philosophy.

Cyboni then moved to Lublin , where he became first mayor in 1686. He was a member of the city council until 1696, several times third mayor (1692, 1695) and fourth mayor (1688, 1689, 1690). In 1690 he represented the city at the Sejm in Warsaw . In 1695 he called himself a doctor of philosophy and medicine.

In 1697 Krzysztof Cyboni was a councilor in Lwów and died the following year.
