The Kuhscheibe , also called Kuhscheibenspitz ( 3189  m above sea level ), is a summit of the Sulztal ridge in the western Stubai Alps in Tyrol that is frequently visited in winter . The mountain is upstream of the Wilden Leck ( 3361  m ) to the northwest . The Roßkarferner is located on the northern flank of the mountain , below the connecting ridge to the Zahmer Leck ( 3226  m ) lies the Kuhscheibeferner to the southeast . The main summit, which has a summit cross, is preceded by another, only two meters lower, summit to the northwest.

The easiest ascent leads from the Amberger Hütte first about 20 minutes southwards into the Sulztal , then at a signpost westwards up to the Roßkar and further towards the Atterkarjöchl . At an altitude of about 2680  m , again at a signpost, the ascent path to the Kuhscheibe branches off to the south. Now it goes in a steep gully up to the Roßkarferner, where you can still find ice under the rubble that has now predominated. Finally, it goes over the quite harmless Roßkarferner to a notch west of the summit and from there briefly over Blockwerk to the highest point. The way is to Roßkarferner selected from the Ambergerhütte are about 3½ hours to be estimated.
