The Kungus ( Russian Кунгус ) is a left tributary of the Agul in the Irbeiski rajon in the southeast of the Krasnoyarsk region .

The Kungus originates in the Eastern Sayan . From there it flows in a northerly direction through its foothills and after a distance of 174 km flows into the Agul on the left , 15 km above its mouth in the Kan . The Kungus thus belongs to the river system of the Yenisei . The catchment area of the Kungus covers 3930 km². The Kungus floods regularly in May .
