Life

Kuno Bärenbold was a trained carpenter . After completing his apprenticeship, he began to write and published articles in newspapers and anthologies before his stories in the 1980s met with a greater response not only from the regional audience. He is "a solid worker who has mastered his craft - no longer a matter of course in the literature business today" ( Badische Latest Nachrichten ).

His eight-year imprisonment for a manslaughter shaped him and his work and is often reflected in his stories.

Martin Walser says of Bärenbold: “Wherever he goes, he becomes an occasion for exposure. He's a real Wallraff. ” The Südwest Presse Ulm writes: “ One thing is not Kuno Bärenbold's book: a contemplative, edifying reading for the faint-hearted. Life has never touched him with ice cream gloves and he has no reason to write with pink ink. "

Bärenbold was himself a reviewer for the press and radio. Every two weeks he wrote a column for the Karlsruhe Kurier and for KiK , in which he presented current books and mostly gave them benevolent reviews.

Bärenbold lived and worked in Durlach . He was a member of the Association of German Writers .
