history

The publishing house was founded in 1953 by entrepreneurs from Karlsruhe in the vicinity of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Heimatbund Badnerland eV . The most important publication at that time was the Badnerland newspaper , which dealt with politics, culture and economy in Baden . With the referendum for Baden in the state of Baden-Württemberg in June 1970, the publication of the newspaper was stopped. The then employee Klaus ER Lindemann, journalist and political scientist , took over the publishing house in 1972 and continued it under the new name "Info Verlag GmbH". His son Thomas Lindemann has been running it since 1992. In contrast to the information publications published by Info Verlag, art and literature have appeared in the Lindemann Library series founded by Thomas Lindemann since 2000 . In 2013 the publisher celebrated its 60th anniversary. The publisher is based in Karlsruhe. An additional office was opened in Bretten at the end of 2014 .

Awards

In 2004, the publishing house was awarded the "State Prize for Smaller Publishers with Literary Ambition" from the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry for Science and Research.
