Kurd E. Heyne

Kurd Erich Heyne (born October 3, 1906 in Braunschweig ; † May 7, 1961 in Lucerne ) was a German actor , director , cabaret artist and author .

Life

Heyne passed his Abitur in 1926 at the secondary school in Braunschweig and was already playing intensive school theater during this time, including with Norbert Schultze . He studied philology in Göttingen and Berlin, and later in Munich. The son of an auditor had his first successes as a vocal writer and, together with Helmut Käutner and Bobby Todd , he co-founded the cabaret group Die vier Nachrichtener . After they were banned in 1935, he switched to writing plays for the theater. To how we live , he also composed the music itself. He also wrote several pieces together with Helmut Käutner, partly together with Bernhard Eichhorn , as well as A man comes to the city with Werner Finck .

After his emigration to Switzerland in 1938, Heyne established himself as an actor and director at the Basel City Theater , where he stayed for life. In addition, he did intensive radio play work for Swiss radio , and again for German stations after the war. The comedy Der Apfel ist ab , which Heyne co-wrote in the days of the news , was filmed by Käutner in Germany in 1948 under the title Der Apfel ist ab .
