Kurt Farbowsky

Kurt Farbowsky (born October 22, 1911 in Vienna ; † December 1999 ) was an Austrian diplomat .

Life

Kurt Farbowsky is the son of Ella Hofmokl and Otio Farbowskyist, he married Martha Vida, their daughter is Pia Farbowsky. He graduated from a secondary school in Vienna . He studied at the University of Vienna , where he received his doctorate in law in 1936 . He was employed in the courts for an extended period. He joined the foreign service in 1947. Until 1949 he was employed in the Foreign Ministry . From 1949 to 1952 he was secretary of legation in Brussels , where he 1950 financial support was. From 1953 to 1954 he was employed in the Foreign Ministry. In 1955 he was entrusted with the establishment of an embassy in Beirut and was until 1959 in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia initially charge d'affaires . later envoy and ministerial plénipotentiaire and finally accredited as ambassador. From 1960 to 1964 he was ambassador to Athens and Nicosia . From 1965 to 1967 he headed the Administration Section in the Foreign Ministry. From 1968 to 1977 he was ambassador to Brussels . On July 1, 1969, he signed a multilateral agreement on the labeling of small arms.
