Kurt Hector
Kurt Karl Hector (born January 20, 1909 in Heide (Holstein) ; † April 11, 1981 ) was a German archivist .
Life
From 1927 he studied history and English in Tübingen and in Kiel with Otto Scheel and Carl Petersen . He worked at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy . He entered the Prussian archive service. He completed his training at the Institute for Archival Science and passed it in 1939 with the archival state examination. He was hired at the State Archives in Kiel. From 1963 to 1974 he was director of the Schleswig-Holstein State Archives.
