Kurt Piller (* 1959 in Dachau ) is a German lawyer and local politician.

Career

Piller studied law at the University of Munich as well as political science and psychology at the University of Politics in Munich. He then spent some time in Australia. In 1989 he was admitted to the bar. Between 1992 and 1994 he trained as a specialist lawyer for administrative law.

In the mayor election in Dachau in the spring of 1996, he surprisingly prevailed against Wolfgang Aechtner ( CSU ) as a candidate for the non-partisan civil community . Six years later he was narrowly defeated by Peter Bürgel (CSU) in the runoff election . Because of doubts about the lawful course of the elections, it had to be repeated (see the Dachau election fraud scandal ). Piller was also defeated in the second mayor election.

Since then he has been working as a lawyer in Dachau again.
