Kurt Semprich

Kurt Semprich (born January 5, 1920 in Stolp ; † February 21, 1999 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Semprich was born in Western Pomerania . After elementary school, he completed a craft training. At the end of the Second World War , he came to Schleswig-Holstein as a displaced person and trained as a city inspector . In 1946 he joined the SPD. In 1949/1950 he worked as an advisor to the Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein, Bruno Diekmann . In 1950 he became full-time mayor of Ratekau .

In 1954 Semprich was elected to the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein in the Eutin-Süd state constituency. In the state elections in 1958, he entered the state parliament via the SPD state list and was a member of it until 1962. He has served on various committees including the Judiciary Committee, the Healthcare Committee, the Justice Committee, and the Home Affairs Committee. In 1959 he was a member of the investigative committee “Landtag President Dr. Böttcher ". In the same year he took part in the 3rd Federal Assembly.

Semprich was mayor of Elmshorn from May 1962 to April 1980 .

Semprich last lived in Elmshorn, was married and had four children.
