Kurt Wilhelm (born May 14, 1924 in Mannheim ; † October 17, 2013 ) was a German handcrafted speaker . He was nicknamed "Groiner".

Career

Kurt Wilhelm came from a family of artists. His father was an artist on the slackline and his uncle was a comic juggler. Born in Mannheim in 1924, he worked for Heinrich Lanz , today's John Deere , for years as a shaper until he entered the military and became a prisoner of war .

Back home, he completed an apprenticeship as a foundry master at John Deere , married and moved to Ketsch with his wife in 1964 . He also got to know his wife through Shrovetide . She danced in the guard at Blau-Weiß Wiesloch. The older of the two daughters followed in their father's footsteps and was already in the Bütt at the age of 6 . In 1984 the humorist retired. However, he continued to perform.

Kurt Wilhelm gained his fame primarily through his second job. His career began with harmless parodies until one day Adi Wagner from Feurio Mannheim suggested him as a hand-made speaker. So his humorist career at that time had begun. Through many TV appearances, he became one of the most popular cult figures of the Kurpfälzer Fasnacht .

Kurt Wilhelm died in 2013 after a long illness.
