The Kutzingsee , also Görsdorfer See, is a natural lake in the district of Görsdorf b. Storkow , a district of the city of Storkow (Mark) ( Oder-Spree district , Brandenburg ). It belongs to the Dahme-Heideseen nature park .

Geography and hydrography

The Kutzingsee is by and large a broad bean-shaped lake, which is completely within the boundaries of Görsdorf b. Storkow is a district of the city of Storkow (Mark). The eastern shore of the lake borders the Görsdorf village center. There is also a small beach on the eastern bank.

history

The lake was first mentioned in a document in 1694 ( Kuhzinke ). In 1712 and 1729 it was called Kintzing and in 1751 Kuhzwikke . The Schmettausche map from 1767/87 lists it as Kuzing See . In the Urmes table sheet 3749 Storkow from 1844 it is named as Görsdorfer See . The name cannot be interpreted with certainty; maybe from an alpb. Basic form * Kučnik to * kuča = heap. As the evidence shows, he was put to cow by folk etymology .

Around 1900, the builder Oscar Gregorovius had the eastern shore of the lake parceled out and private land was created here. Gregorovius, who worked in Berlin-Karlshorst , initially sold these to Karlshorst citizens as weekend properties.
