Kuwait PSA Cup

The Kuwait PSA Cup , also known as the Kuwait Open for a long time , was a squash tournament for men and women that took place in the Kuwait capital of Kuwait City . The tournament belonged to the men's World Series Platinum category , the second highest valuation category . The total prize money amounted to 165,000 US dollars . The men's competition was held for the first time in 1997, while the women's competition was held for the first time in 2004.

In 2009 and 2012, the men's tournament was not held. Instead, the 2009 World Cup took place in Kuwait City . With three wins each, Peter Nicol and Ramy Ashour are the tournament's record winners. Nicol David won the women's title twice.
