Kyjovská pahorkatina
The Kyjovská pahorkatina (German Gayaer Hügelland ) is a mountain range in South Moravia , Czech Republic . It forms the southern part of the Central Moravian Carpathians .

The Kyjovská pahorkatina is the lowest part of the Central Moravian Carpathians. It extends from northeast to southwest between Buchlovice , Bzenec , Vracov , Kyjov , Ždánice , Klobouky u Brna , Velké Bílovice and Velké Pavlovice as a promontory at the southern foot of the Martian Mountains , the Litenčická pahorkatina and the Steinitz Forest . To the west is the Hustopečská pahorkatina. To the east and south, the hill country slopes down to the Dolnomoravský úval ( southern March basin ).
The Kyjovská pahorkatina has an extension of 482 km² and an average height of 235.2 m. ü. The highest point is the Babí lom (417 m) in the Věteřovská vrchovina near Strážovice . The Kyjovská pahorkatina is crossed from north to south by numerous streams that have their source in the Martian Mountains and the Steinitz Forest.
Geomorphological sub-units form the Kudlovická pahorkatina, Mutěnická pahorkatina, Vážanská vrchovina and Věteřovská vrchovina.
The hill country consists of paleogenic flysch formations .
In Kyjovská pahorkatina are the natural monuments Bohuslavické stráně and Losky.
