LML Select

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The LML Select is a 150-cm 3 - scooter model of the Indian manufacturer LML ( Lohia Machinery Limited ), the optically the Vespa T5 like.

history

From 1993 LML produced the LML Vespa Select in cooperation with the Italian manufacturer Piaggio, based on the Vespa T5 Mk. I. In 1995, The Economic Times reported that the Select had developed into the company's most successful model.

From 1996 the LML Select II was produced. After Piaggio sold its company shares to LML at the end of 1999, LML retained the rights to the scooter technologies transferred to date and continued to produce the model series. The model was not engineered differently, presumably because the LML Star, which is visually comparable and still in construction, was equipped with various engines from 125 cm 3 to 200 cm 3 over the years . When the plant closed in February 2006, production of the LML Select was discontinued. After reopening in March 2008, the company initially concentrated on the production of the successful Star models, especially for export.

A four-stroke model called Select 4 has been marketed in the Indian state of Goa since 2011 .
