LML Freedom
LML Freedom is the name of a light motorcycle series of Indian manufacturer LML ( Lohia Machinery Limited ), which in Europe by royalty crafted Star - scooter became known that optically the Vespa PX sector.
history
After the end of the cooperation with the Italian scooter manufacturer Piaggio at the end of 1999, LML increasingly lost market share. With the Freedom, an attempt was initially made to assert itself again on the local market. The Freedom came onto the market in July 2002 and was considered a successful model for the LML company, which first entered the domestic light-power market in 2000 with the in-house developments LML Adreno and LML Energy . By November 2003, an average of 14,000 copies were sold per month.
Model variants
Following the success of the original version in 2004, the model range was expanded to include the Freedom Prima 110 and the Freedom Prima 125 . Both models received the newly developed Delta 4 engine with digital ignition. The Freedom Topper model was also released in August 2004 .
When the plant closed in February 2006, production of the LML Freedom was discontinued. After reopening in March 2008, the company initially concentrated on the production of the successful LML Star models, especially for export.
It was not until 2013 that the 110 cm³ version was reissued with slight revisions. It must be mentioned that in India the maximum speed of motorcycles is less important than the economy of the vehicle. The ranges per liter are typically specified. According to the company website, only the two 110 cm³ models LS and the slightly cheaper DX version are still offered. Apparently, they only differ slightly in appearance. The vehicles have drum brakes at the front and rear . KS stands for kick starter versions, ES for motorcycles with an electric starter.
