Bengali-Fodé Koita (born October 21, 1990 in Antony ) is a French football player .
Club career
The striker Koita, who is of Guinean descent, was accepted into the youth department of the professional club HSC Montpellier in 2006 and made it into the professional squad at the beginning of the 2008/09 season. In the following time he was only called up in the second team and it was not until January 16, 2009 that the then 18-year-old was defeated by Thomas Deruda 2-0 in a second division match against SC Amiens in the 73rd minute was substituted on and so could deny his professional debut. Until the end of the season he did not play another game for the team that was promoted to the first division that year. He made his first division debut on March 13, 2010, when he took the place in the 89th minute as a replacement for Souleymane Camara . This was followed by several years in which he was used sporadically. Because of this, he was awarded in January 2012 to the second division club RC Lens . He played regularly for Lens and was usually part of the starting XI. In addition, he scored for this on March 6, 2012 in a 2-0 against US Boulogne his first goal in the professional field. At the end of the 2011/12 season he returned to HSC Montpellier, which had previously won the national championship. Since Koita took part in four league matches in the first half of the season, he is also a member of the championship team.
In August 2012, he was awarded again shortly after his return, with his new employer with the Le Havre AC being a second division again. With this he got regular match practice, but mostly came from the bank. The loan ended in 2013 and he stayed in Montpellier again for the summer, but on August 31, 2013 he was given free transfer to the second-rate SM Caen . There he was initially reserved a role as a joker, as in Le Havre, so that he was usually used as a substitute. In the second half of the season, however, he was able to fight for a regular place in the position of the right winger. In May 2014, the team made the promotion to the top division perfect. In this, too, Koita was then regularly called up and achieved relegation with his colleagues in the first year.
After his contract expired, he moved abroad for the first time by joining the English second division club Blackburn Rovers .
In the 2015/16 winter transfer period, he moved to the Turkish first division club Kasımpaşa Istanbul .
National team
On June 2, 2011 Koita made his debut in a 1-0 win against Serbia for the French U-21 national team and came three days later in a 1-1 win against Ukraine for another use. After that it was no longer considered.
