Abdulrahman "Abdul" Khalili (born June 7, 1992 in Sweden ) is a Swedish football player of Palestinian descent. He is the cousin of the Swedish soccer player Imad Khalili .
Career
societies
Like his cousin, Khalili comes from the youth of the Helsingborg district association Högaborgs BK, where he made his first steps in the adult sector from 2008. In his first year as a substitute player for the fourth division, he was one of the regulars on the offensive in the 2009 season and scored nine goals this season.
In 2010 Khalili moved to Helsingborgs IF , where he came to two short appearances in the Allsvenskan in the 2010 season . After he remained in the competition team in the first half of 2011 without playing, the club loaned him to the second division IFK Värnamo in the Superettan until the end of the year . Although he played twelve league games by the end of the season, he was only in the starting line-up in three games. Also in the relegation games for relegation against Väsby United , he contributed to relegation as a substitute in both legs. Nevertheless, the club signed him firmly at the beginning of the following year. During the second division season in 2012 he became a regular player and scored four goals in 16 games, this time he was in the starting line-up in both relegation games against Lunds BK . In the summer of 2013 his contract expired, which he did not renew.
From July 2013, Khalili was initially without a club. In January he joined his former club Helsingborgs IF, where he had previously trained. Under coach Roar Hansen , he quickly became a regular in midfield and played twelve league games by the summer. He was so convincing that he aroused international interest and, following his previous club mate Loret Sadiku, switched to the southern Turkish representative Mersin İdman Yurdu in the Turkish Süper Lig for the 2014/15 season.
After Mersin İY missed relegation in the Süper Lig in summer 2016, Khalili switched to league rivals Gençlerbirliği Ankara on the last day of the 2016 summer transfer period . At the start of the Süper Lig 2018/19 season, the Swede signed a three-year contract with Kasimpasa Istanbul , which was terminated after one and a half years in winter 2020. Abdul Khalili has been without a club since January 2020.
National team
Khalili began his national team career in 2008 in the Swedish U-17 national team , for which he completed eleven selection games. Ten missions for the Swedish U-19 national team followed . From 2014 he started playing for the Swedish U-21 national team. With the team he became the U21 European Champion in 2015 .
In 2015 he made his debut for the Swedish national team .
